October 1-
Finally after preparing my daughter's thing we went to hoikuen this day, Erika belong to "Ringu Gumi" or Apple class which consists of 1 year old kids. The class has 20 children with four teachers in a room. A young lady Sabito san is Erika's sensei. My husband and I took her to daycare center for about eight in the morning, the 20 minutes route took us 30 minutes to drive due to busy cars in the road at early hours . When we reached the place, we just had a little conversation with the teacher about rules to be done inside the classroom during this time Erika was playing with the kids and enjoying the colorful surroundings . We silently leave without saying goodbye for her not to cry. But going back home I felt loneliness because this is our first time to be separated even for a few hours a thought of it tears to my eyes, my husband noticed and just laughed at me to change the atmosphere because I know hes sad too.
We fetched her for about 10:30 and her teacher says that she cried for two hours. Upon seeing at me she hugged me so tight and said "mama, mama". I felt sorry for her really.
October 2-
This day its only me who bring her to hoikuen, upon entering the room Erika turned on me and said "iiya, iiya" (I don't want). I stayed with her for a while inside the room and she started to play again with the kids. Again I silently leave without waving goodbye to her.
When I comeback to fetched her, Her teacher said that she cried but sometimes stopped when playing the cellphone and saying "poshi, poshi (moshi moshi or hello) mama".
October 3-
Today was Erika's first hoikuen undoukai or sports festival. We went there just to watch the shows and I did not have a plan to participate in different sports since we did not attended their rehearsals even ones. But one of the teachers caught me and lead us to the center where all are dancing. I'm glad Erika danced too. Afterthe show they gave us omiyage or gift inside was a green ball, banana, mikan, apple juice, a pack of fresh milk and a pack of cookies.
By the way, I did not have a hard time weaning her for a week now.
